ST5575 : New thatch in Stoke Bishop

taken 3 years ago, near to Redland, Bristol, England

New thatch in Stoke Bishop
New thatch in Stoke Bishop
A splendid piece of work, just recently completed. But it does, perhaps, seem slightly out of place in this upmarket suburb of Bristol. For another view, see ST5575 : New thatch in Stoke Bishop.

The house, Lower Lodge, was originally one of the three lodges at the entrances to Old Sneed Park Mansion to the west (long gone, and where Glenavon Park estate now stands). It is Grade II listed.
