taken 3 years ago, near to Acton, Ealing, England

Acton Main Line railway station, Greater London
Acton Main Line railway station, Greater London
Opened in 1868 by the Great Western Railway on the line from London Paddington to Reading. The line was quadrupled in 1876, but only these two platforms are used by stopping trains.
View east towards Westbourne Park and Paddington, a quite different view to TQ2081 : Acton Main Line railway station, Greater London, 2011 taken on the adjacent platform. Step-free access is now provided by a new footbridge and lifts, and a new station building can be seen to the right of the bridge.
