The Remains of Thrumster Mains Broch, Caithness
This ancient Broch over 2000 years old was landscaped as part of a garden in possibly the 18th century and the stone summerhouse type building was added. The small flag pole in the middle carries the Caithness county flag.
Brochs

Brochs are a type of iron-age, drystone Pictish House found only in Scotland. They are typically circular in plan and double-walled structures, and are almost exclusive to the far north and the islands.
