taken 2 years ago, 4 km NNW of Crossaig, Argyll And Bute, Scotland

West End of Lochan Fraoich
West End of Lochan Fraoich
This is almost certainly a kettle hole, formed by deposits of glacial material round a block of ice which left a shallow hole when it finally melted. The name means something like 'a small heathery loch'.
