Wilderhope Manor
Wilderhope Manor is a Grade I listed, 16th-century manor house owned by the National Trust, it has been a youth hostel since 1937.
The manor dates from 1585 and was built for Francis Smallman, the manor remained in the family until 1734 when the estate including the neighbouring Wilderhope farm was sold to Thomas Lutwyche.
