NY9732 : Moorland denuded of vegetation

taken 2 years ago, near to Raven Seat [other Features], Durham, Great Britain

Moorland denuded of vegetation
Moorland denuded of vegetation
The flat moorland is north of the ridge line lying east from the trig point of Harnisha Hill. The general heather cover of the ground has seemingly been lost. The nearer pale surface is covered with small fragments of what must be gritstone, lying on what is presumably a peat base.
