Looe line train approaches Sandplace Halt
Looe line train approaches Sandplace Halt
Sandplace is a very small village a couple of miles north of Looe. The Liskeard and Looe Railway has a 'halt' here rather than a station proper, and passengers have to flag down the little train for it to stop. Similarly when wishing to alight here, the passenger needs to inform the guard.
This little GWR train has just two carriages. The route from here to Looe is particularly scenic as it runs right alongside the tidal East Looe River.
