taken 2 years ago, near to Purley, Croydon, England

Rotary Field, Purley
Rotary Field, Purley
Rotary Field takes its name from the fact it was purchased for use as a public park by the Rotary Club. The memorial in the middle distance commemorates the fact that in the early 19th century the Surrey Iron Railway passed across this land. The sign at the entrance to the park that explains its history can be seen at TQ3161 : Sign at the entrance to Rotary Field, Purley.
