SO9992 : Ridgacre Branch Canal, Swan Village

taken 2 years ago, near to West Bromwich, Sandwell, England

Ridgacre Branch Canal, Swan Village
Ridgacre Branch Canal, Swan Village
The Ridgacre Branch left the Wednesbury Old Canal at Swan Lane Junction and ran for approximately a mile north-eastwards. Since the building of the Black Country Spine Road the branch has been inaccessible to boats: the bridge from which this photograph is taken is one of several that are closer to culverts in their size. The branch remains in water as a wildlife habitat and walkers' route.
