Grade I listed
The church dates from the 11th century onwards.
There is a round west tower, nave with south aisle, south porch, and chancel.
The tower, possibly of Saxon origin, has bands of stone and flint conglomerate. The windows were probably cut in the 15th century, the battlemented top being added at that time. There are six bells.
The south porch is perpendicular. The south arcade has four bays and dates from the 14th century.In the south aisle the pews have carved bench ends depiction various animals, and were given to the church in the early 19th C.
The chancel arch has a partly restored screen and rood by Faithcraft, and has a small window above. The parclose screen is 20th century. The chancel roof has carved Angels holding shields of several different families.
The elaborate octagonal font was made around 1430.
There is a 2 manual organ originally by Norman and Beard, from 1891.
Most of the heraldic stained glass in the church is from the first half of the 19th century, with one reset medieval window.
