This shelter, viewed here from a public footpath, lies next to the tee of one of the holes in the west of the Grove course. Its presence will no doubt have been much appreciated on occasions, especially with the comforts of the clubhouse being a kilometre from this part of the course.
The large boulder next to the shelter probably comes from the nearby limestone quarry.
