Blackwater and Hawley, Hart District, Hampshire
Blackwater has developed next to the crossing of the Blackwater River by the A30 road. Here also is a railway station on the line from Guildford to Reading. The Blackwater River is the boundary between Hampshire and Surrey. The Council Offices for Blackwater and Hawley Town Council are located in Blackwater. Hawley with Minley CP was created in 1866 from part of Yateley CP. It took over Cove CP to the east and the part of Yateley CP south of the A30 in 1932, and became Hawley CP until renamed in 1974. Hawley EP was created in 1842 from Yateley EP, which was itself created in 1809 from the ancient parish of Crondall.
Henry Randell's Almshouses are a small group in Victorian Gothic/Tudor style, built in 1857. They have a symmetrical front with a two-storey centre, with a bell turret above the tall centre gable and a clock face on the wall within. The walls have decorative patterns, and also the date 1857, in blue bricks. For a closer view see

Viewed from the road, the tower and broach spire of 1882 is flanked by two gabled aisles of 1857. The interior is of yellow brickwork with flush red brick banding. At the east end the richly ornamented chancel and semicircular apse were added in 1863. For a closer view see

The Blackwater Valley path follows the Hampshire bank of the river. On the other side there is a large commercial and industrial estate on both sides of the A331. This is part of York Town, in Camberley.
