A Mysterious Track
This still appears as a dead-end track on the latest maps, but this is the only point today at which it still resembles one. It doesn't appear to have been in use for a long while, but, on the other hand, in the grand scheme of things it isn't particularly old: there is no sign of it on a 1:10,000 1960s map.
It must have led to something fairly substantial once though, as it leads to a fairly large open space a short distance behind camera. Most of the ground is covered in hard-packed small gravelly stuff, like the old track, but there is also an area of tarmac present there. My guess is that it led to a small mining-related building, as there seems to have been something going on round here mining-wise for the last 200 years or so. Beyond the open hard area is a substantial bit of predominantly rush-covered land which has been deemed too wet to plant on. The open areas aren't shown on current zoomed-in mapping.
