The Logan Stone in the 1936 Gorsedd Circle
The Logan stone/Maen Logan with its flat surface acts as a central platform in the middle of every Gorsedd Circle/Cylch Gorsedd.
This one is a little unusual in that it includes a portion of columnar jointing (a geological term for the hexagonal formations resulting from the rapid cooling of volcanic rock.) Examples of this can be seen in situ in the cliffs on either side of the old harbour below this site.
