Part of Europe's Last Wilderness - Sutherland, Scottish Highlands
The River Skinsdale is seen here sweeping majestically through the broad and uninhabited moorland plains of central Sutherland. A tributary to the River Brora, it drains a catchment of over 80 square kilometres and entirely uninhabited. A bleak but beautiful landscape in the far north of Britain, well deserving the title of Europe's last wilderness.
