Euphorbia amygdaloides var. robbiae, South View, Churchland Lane
This spurge is often known as 'Mrs Robb's Bonnet' after the plant hunter who discovered it, Mary Anne Robb, a 19th-century English botanist. There are variations on the story but, apparently she was travelling by coach somewhere in Asia Minor when she spotted the plant, had it dug up, put it in her hat box and brought it back to England.
