Looking up Cross Street from by its junction with Monk Street. The building on the right is Lloyds Bank, with the far part built in 1895-7 designed by A E Lloyd Oswell and the nearer part added in 1933. Grade II listed - see LinkExternal link.

In the background is the Town/Market Hall, built in 1869-71 and designed by the architects James Wilson and William Wilcox of Bath, replacing a previous market house by John Nash built in 1794-5 and a market built in 1825. Grade II listed - see LinkExternal link.
