'The most sumptuous Norman font in Shropshire'
Pevsner described it thus. The font is accepted as being of the well known Hereford School of Romanesque Sculpture (see LinkExternal link here and LinkExternal link here). It dates from around the 1130s.

The church at Kilpeck, Herefordshire is a widely known example LinkExternal link here.

I wonder how many babies have been christened here since then?
