Parapet piercing, Hull
Close-up detail of the terracotta balustrade of the Fountain Road Bridge over the Beverley and Barmston Drain. The bridge, dated 1889 on its end piers, is locally listed. To quote the text of the listing, this shows part of the "Distinctive and attractive pierced coped balustrades in the form of St Chad's crosses rotated by 45 degrees". For a wider view of the parapet, see TA0930 : Barmston Drain, Hull.
