Illaunonearaun/ Oilean an Fhearain
From the west of Dunlicky point is a small island called Illaunonearaun or Oilean an Fhearain. The island is a SPA (Special Protected Area) and it is a regular haunt for barnacle geese who make their way from Greenland to the Maharees (Dingle). A local many years ago transported sheep to the island by way of a curragh, and the remnants of the Shepherd's hut is barely visible.
