Benchmark on north end of large roadside barn at Clifton Hall
Ordnance Survey cut mark benchmark levelled at 147.574m above Newlyn Datum in 1969. I think this may also be the mark levelled at 483.990 feet above Liverpool Datum during the 1841-1844 Liverpool to Port Carlisle 1GL Survey. The surveyor's description was 'No. 378. Mark on North-east corner of Mr. Cullen's Office ; 4.82 ft. above surface of road'
