Ireland in Ruins: Waterstown House, Co. Westmeath (1)

A detached seven-bay three-storey over basement Palladian style country house, constructed c.1745. Similar to Tudenham Park, near Mullingar, it was designed by the renowned German architect Richard Castle (1695-1751), one of the most important architects working in Ireland at the time.
