Loughcrew Gardens, Co. Meath - Loughcrew House portico
Part of the portico of the original Loughcrew House has been reconstructed from its tumbled remains, and stands as a striking feature in the landscape. It is not accessible from the gardens. Loughcrew House was designed by C.R. Cockerell c.1780 as a neo-Classical country house for J. L. Naper, it suffered three separate fires, and was demolished in the 1960s.
