SE4592 : The small valley of Penny Beck

taken 2 years ago, near to Over Silton, North Yorkshire, England

The small valley of Penny Beck
The small valley of Penny Beck
Looking south along the line of a bridleway towards Greystone Farm. Penny beck is down in the vegetation somewhere and there is no bridge on the path, so a small amount of paddling is required. If one heads along the B/W from near Kepwick to Nether and Over Silton one can expect more than one stream to paddle though, soft and ill drained ground, shoulder high nettles, notices about bulls in fields, frisky heifers and rather poor signage. Otherwise, quite pleasant.
