Gannets over Stac an Armin
Gannets over Stac an Armin
One of the largest gannetries in the world boasting over 60,000 breeding on Boreray and the Stacs. The St Kildans harvested this bird for its meat, its skin (made into shoes), its feathers and its Beak (securing thatch on the rooves) among other things.
