On the route of the Wilts & Berks canal, heading north-east. The Wilts & Berks canal opened in 1810, linking the Kennet & Avon canal with the River Thames and running right through Swindon. It closed in 1914, but is now partly restored.
Sadly, this attractive clock has been removed and put into storage pending changes to the area where it was situated. When and where it will re-appear is anyone's guess.
