Drum House, also known as The Drum or simply Drum, was built for Lord Somerville from 1726-34 and was originally known as Somerville House. The architect was William Adam and it is a major example of the Scottish Palladian style. The west pavilion incorporates part of the earlier house built by John Mylne around 1585.
