Forestry Store
This unusual-looking container was situated at a forest track junction on the waymarked route to Ben Gullipen from Callander. I've never come across things looking like this before. They obviously get loaded on and off lorries in the same way skips do, which seems quite a sensible idea really, so it's a wonder the design isn't more commonplace.
This one has a door, so must be used as a storage hut, plus no doubt is somewhere for forestry workers to get out of the rain and cold and take a break too. There were three similar smaller containers further down the track, all with identical cylindrical bars at their tops. One of the three wasn't padlocked and contained an IBC (a square plastic 1000 litre container) full of red diesel; they are a good idea if used as designed, ie securely!
