The Ring of Brodgar (3)
The Ring of Brodgar (3)
This is the south eastern section of the Ring of Brodgar, a Neolithic henge and stone circle consisting of 36 (out of the original 60) standing stones located on the Ness of Brodgar, Stenness, near Stromness, Orkney. It is the most northerly circle henge in the British Isles and dates back to c.2500 to 2000 BC. I am standing on the mound known as South Knowe to get a better vantage point.
