Fife Coastal Path
At the bottom of Burnside in St Monans high tide means that this section of the Fife Coastal Path cannot be used. It runs along the base of the boundary sea wall of St Monans Church but is inundated by every high tide making it impassable. There is an official alternative route which starts at Newark Castle - or the boundary wall of the church can simply be stepped over since it's only about two feet high bringing walkers safely through the graveyard to the steps visible in this image.
