Hart to Haswell Railway
The former Hart to Haswell railway which was built in 1835 and was the main route from Sunderland to Hartlpool until 1905 when the current Durham Coast line was opened. Trains continued to use this line until it was closed in 1980. It has now been turned into a cycle way and it part of NCN14.
