South Park, Gordon Terrace
When your gate posts are as a fancy as these they turn into 'gate piers'. This is quite a property - as are most along this late 19th Century-constructed road that runs parallel to Liberton Road. The two roads are separated by narrow strip of Gordon Terrace-owned woodland that can, in certain places, be used as a shortcut.
The house is a Category B listed building. As it should be - it does have a tower after all! The value of these high-end properties is always intriguing (to me at least). In this instance it is hard to know for sure, due to it having been subdivided into smaller units. There are at least four individual residences here right now and their combined purchase price (all transactions have occurred within the last decade or so) totals well over £2 million.
