Railtour on the South Marston Branch
Railtour on the South Marston Branch
The short South Marston Branch, which leaves the Great Western Main Line at South Marston Junction was built in 2008 to serve the Honda factory (which closed in 2021) and others nearby. However, it has been little used.

The first passenger service ever to work over the branch was Pathfinder Tours' Cotswold Caper railtour, which worked from Burton-on-Trent, and is seen here entering the branch with class 37 No. 37676 leading; classmate No. 37668 was on the rear.
