Text included on the panel reads as follows:

The town hall stood close to this site. It closed its doors in 1997 and was replaced by the Strule Arts Centre.
In the 1950s and 60s the Pantos, invariably scripted by Paddy Laird, appeared every Christmas. They brought comedy, colour and spectacle in an age of austerity that followed the Second World War.
Rehearsals for the Pantos would take place in the old labour Hall and the Irish National Foresters (INF)
Budding singers and performers had their earliest experiences in the Pantos in Omagh Town Hall. One such singer was Brian Coll, who went on to do great things with The Platters, The Plattermen, Brian Coll and the Buckeroos and as a solo artist in his own right.
Thousands of people were entertained in Omagh Town Hall.
Audiences now enjoy music, theatre, comedy and yes... Pantos in Strule Arts Centre.
