Exton is a village in East Devon. It is served by Exton station, where there is an hourly train service to either Exeter Central or Exmouth.
Facilities include a couple of bed and breakfasts, a church St Andrew's), a village hall, a petrol station and a pub restaurant and hostelry (The Puffing Billy).
Gillbrook is a short stream in East Devon. It rises on Woodbury Common and runs 6km mostly westward to join the Clyst Estuary at Exton.
Part of Sustrans National Cycle Network route 2, this mainly traffic-free cycling route follows the two banks of the Exe estuary, linking Exmouth to Countess Wear (south of Exeter) and Dawlish. On the east side of the estuary, the trail runs close to the Avocet Line. It passes through Lympstone, Exton and Dawlish, and housing estates at Countess Wear. On the west side, it is beside Exeter Canal to Turf Hotel, and passes Powderham Park, before passing through Starcross, Cockwood and Dawlish Warren.
