The former Marine Station, Dover
The construction of this station on Dover's Admiralty Pier started in 1910, but it did not operate commercially until 1919. During the Great War it served as a dispersal point for thousands of wounded from the Western Front. During WW2 it featured prominently during the Dunkirk evacuation. Being redundant as a station in the 1990s, it is now preserved and is the main building of Dover Cruise Terminal One.
