View towards the Britannia Bridge from the footbridge at Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch station. Note the LED signal and the gate box beyond, where Station Road crosses the line. Unusually, both gates fold back to the same side of the crossing. Until 2015, the 400 kV power lines transmitted electricity generated at Wylfa nuclear power station to the north west.
I believe this particular sign is now in the industrial railway museum at Penrhyn Castle, Bangor NH6071 [ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penrhyn_Castle_Railway_Museum ]. The translation as given to me reads 'The Church of St Mary by the hollow of white aspen, over the whirlpool and St Tysilio's church close to the red cave'.
