Church of St Mary the Virgin in Wirksworth
Many parts of the church date from the 13th century, including the lower part of the tower and the massive crossing piers and arches. Much further work was done in the 14th and 15th centuries, and the church was restored in the 19th century under Sir George Gilbert Scott. Ref:P1060663r.
