TM4176 : Detritus of a dismantled railway

taken 1 year ago, near to Mells, Suffolk, England

Detritus of a dismantled railway
Detritus of a dismantled railway
Blocks of broken concrete and angle iron lay among the brambles, grass, leaf litter and broken branches once a central support of a 40 foot bridge which crossed both the mill leet and the River Blyth. These remnants, a couple of lengths of rail and a sleeper, bear witness to a hundred years of history.
