Tree remains on Knott Lane
Tree remains on Knott Lane

One of the trees on Knott Lane was cut down in September 2022 leaving just a stump SJ9593 : Tree stump on Knott Lane. The stump was still there in December SJ9593 : Frozen tree stump on Knott Lane. Now it is sealed off and has been reduced considerably. In due course it will be removed completely and tarmacked over.

This is not the first tree to suffer this fate. One higher up was felled in September 2021 SJ9593 : Tree-stump on Knott Lane. By March 2022 it had been completely removed and the hole tarmacked over SJ9593 : Knott Lane. Both trees can be seen in a photo from April 2021 SJ9593 : Knott Lane.
