Flooded gravel workings
Flooded gravel workings
The water is being pumped out of these gravel workings after recent flooding from the River Severn, on meadowland near Ryall's Court Farm.
Cemex gravel extraction, Ryall's Court Farm

Cemex began work on this site in late 2016. The extraction site covers an area of approximately 32 hectares, with minerals planned to be extracted at a rate of 180,000 tonnes a year over eight years. The minerals are removed from the site by barges on the River Severn, the barges are loaded via a conveyor, and then transported downstream. When extraction work is completed, the site is to be landscaped, creating lake.
