Geograph - photograph every grid square

Back in the late 60's before its gentrification this area was was the nearest thing to wilderness that many boys from the terraced streets of Hull could get too. Although it was known a Little Switzerland, we used to call it Hessle Newt Ponds. The obvious reason being that we could catch newts there with every dip of a net or even a hand. The original ponds where of unknown but legendary depths. We used to make rafts and happily mess about with them all day. It would be a H&S nightmare today. I seem to remember at least one tragic fatality there. It didn't worry us though, we were invulnerable then!
