The Railway Inn (1), Main Street, Defford, Worcs

This public house closed in 2019 and its elderly long-time owner died the following year. It is located on the edge of the village adjacent to the A4104 road. The Worcester News reported in April 2022 that there was a proposal to convert the building into two houses and to use the former car park at the rear for four self-build homes. It was at one time a West Country Ales pub and there still remains on the front of the building one of their ceramic plaques.
