Six Hills House
Six Hills House was originally an office building.
Built in 1982 the building housed ICL which would later become Fujitsu in 2002. The building is located off Six Hills Way and just outside Stevenage Town Centre in the Bedwell area.
Fujitsu vacated the building in 2008 after relocating to a newer and bigger premises on Gunnels Wood Road in Stevenage which is located in the Symonds Green/Industrial area.
The building had been a target for vandalism in 2013 after remaining derelict for 5 years and travellers moved on the site in 2014. In January 2015 travellers moved off the site and it was decided for the building to be rescued as apartments. The building was brown-coloured and, when renovations and conversions of the building started in May 2015, the building was repainted white and green with colourful balconies.
The building kept its original name Six Hills House and was completed for residential use in March 2017, by September 2017 the entire building was full up with residents and in total the complex has 150 flats including a rooftop garden and private courtyard garden.
