The dam wall, with the fish ladder. There are 13 sluices (the controlling mechanisms can be seen on the walkway). Each sluice opens into an individual basin of the fish ladder. The dam was originally constructed about 1857 and considerably rebuilt in 1902 and extended in 1919. It is Category C listed LinkExternal link.
