The Allt a' Choire gorge, South Morar
The Allt a' Choire gorge, South Morar
From the head of narrow Loch Beoraid an old stalkers path leads through the Allt a' Choire gorge into the open grassy sanctuary of Coire Odhar Mor, below the Glenfinnan Munros. It must be one of the least visited places in Britain, the path leading nowhere unless you are stalking deer. The house at Kinlochbeoraid 2km west is white-painted and roofed, unlike so many on the sporting estates of the wet west.
