SV8908 : Old Man of Gugh, Isles of Scilly
taken 22 years ago, near to St Agnes, St Agnes & Gugh, Isles of Scilly, England
Old Man of Gugh, Isles of Scilly
Looking North at this eight-foot granite standing stone, the islands of Bryher and Tresco are just visible in the background of the shot.
'Gugh' is pronounced to rhyme with 'Hugh' or 'pew', rather than 'Goo' or 'Guff'. And Gough Island is in the _South_ Atlantic.
