Samson or Goliath?
Another view of shipyard gantry crane 'Samson' at the Harland and Wolff building dock in Belfast. No longer shipbuilding, H&W have diversified into other fields such as shipbreaking, recycling and renewable energy. Recently the yard has been taking delivery of offshore windfarm components and here, I believe, two upright sections of wind turbines have been constructed beneath the crane. The overgrown land in front is due for redevelopment as part of the 'Titanic Quarter' scheme in Belfast. See also Link
