Caledonian Canal
Caledonian Canal
Combined with the Lochs Involved the canal actually divides Scotland in two roughly between Inverness & Corpach near Fort William. Even in these modern times the canal is a useful shortcut for fishing boats missing out a few hundred mile trip around the North Cape.
