TG1022 : Remains of All Saints Church

taken 16 years ago, near to Reepham, Norfolk, England

Remains of All Saints Church
Remains of All Saints Church
Three churches share the same churchyard: Reepham's church of St. Mary > TG1022 : St Mary's church - chancel - TG1022 : St Mary's church - east window - TG1022 : St Mary's church - view west is joined by its choir vestry to St. Michael’s (adjoining in the west), once serving the parish of Whitwell. A third church, All Saints, served the parish of Hackford and was destroyed in the fire of 1543; all that remains is a short section of wall, covered by vegetation, in the southwestern corner of the churchyard (seen here).

Services are still being held at St Michael's > Link - Link - Link but the church is at present mainly used for children's services, community meetings and social and fund-raising events; presently closed to the public, a redevelopment group is seeking to modernise the interior of the building (with the backing of the PCC) and it is hoped that the chancel will be open after the refurbishment.
